Cap and Gown Information

All graduates must have a cap and gown to participate. Gowns are on loan and must be returned after graduation. If the gown is not returned, a replacement fee will be charged and your diploma will be held until the fee is cleared. At the graduation boys customarily remove their caps during the national anthem and replace them at the close of the song. Girls should not remove their caps at any time during the ceremony.

Graduates will assemble outside along the west wall of the auditorium (by the large parking lot) at 6:15 p.m. and march single file in two columns to the main floor of the auditorium at 7:00 p.m. Graduates should find their place in line according to the master list.

  • Students are quiet and respectful during the ceremony.
  • Students are prohibited from bringing inappropriate items into the ceremony.
  • All caps and gowns shall be unaltered. If there is an alteration, it must be appropriate and approved.
