SENIORS:  Grad Cards and Senior Contracts are past due!  If you haven’t turned yours in, we need it in the Counseling Office ASAP.


SENIORS:  Shasta College Counselors will be here on March 6th.  Appointments are REQUIRED.  Sign-up on the clip board in Mrs. Kern’s classroom (Room 98)


LIBRARY CLOSURE: The Library will be closed next Wednesday.  Ms. Scharton will be here before school starts to hand out Chromebooks and will then close the Library.  Students that return their Chromebooks at the end of the day, please bring them to the Main Office.


BOYS BASKETBALL:  Tonight are the final League games.  CV at U-Prep.  No Girls Basketball tonight so we need your support at UPrep.  Admission with ASB sticker - $2.00 – Without ASB sticker - $4.00.  Bring that Falcon Spirit and cheer our guys to victory!!!


WOULD YOU LIKE TO ATTEND A PRE-COLLEGE PROGRAM THIS SUMMER?  College Options has summer program scholarships for students in 9th-11thgrade.  Talk to your counselor if you have any questions.


COLLEGE CONNECTION MEETING:  There is an informational meeting for College Connection at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21 in the Library for any Juniors interested in spending their Senior year at Shasta College earning both high school and college credits. Interested juniors with a minimum 2.0 GPA are encouraged to apply.  An instructor from College Connection will be there to present information on the program and to answer any questions. WES CAMP COUNSELORS NEEDED FOR BSA:  The deadline to turn in your application to be a WES Camp counselor for Mrs. Rogers’ 6th grade students is fast approaching.  Please submit your completed application to the office ASAP.  Camp dates are scheduled for Feb. 26 through March 2nd.  You won’t regret it!


CVHS BAND’S JAZZ NIGHT AND SPAGHETTI FEED: It will be held on Wednesday, February 21st in Talon Hall, featuring CVHS Band, Buckeye Jazz Band, the Good Time Band of Redding, and complementary swing dance lessons from a local Redding swing dance instructor.  See Mr. Hayman in Room 28 for ticket information and pre-sale, starting today.


THOSE INTERESTED IN PLAYING JV SOFTBALL, WE ARE IN GREAT NEED OF PLAYERS!  If interested or just want to talk to a coach, we will be practicing the next two weeks Tuesday through Friday at 3:30 p.m.  These are not tryouts.  You do not have to try out.  Just show up and play!  You will need a cleared Athletic Packet to participate. The packets are available in the Health Office.


THE FINAL FINAL REASON WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN THE BOYS TENNIS TEAM:  Offseason training. Because it develops skills like footwork and hand-eye coordination, tennis is the perfect sport to play while you are waiting for your favorite sport to start back up again. Winter sports athletes, please sign up now so you will have a uniform in time for the tennis season. Sign up in Room 99 during break or lunch, or up on the tennis courts after school.
